My 2 year Masters Program (in Waterloo) emphasized applied skills in developing and applying empathy relating to ameliorate psychological distress.
Employment for 10 years in a general hospital afforded development of skills in working with various diagnostic categories, colleagues of varying orientations, professions and community agencies.
My doctoral program (central Michigan) emphasized life-span developmental issues and psychodynamic influences in personality development and psychotherapy.
Recent employment in a general hospital mental health clinic facilitated further application of a broad range of skills to a wide variety of presenting problems.
