Karen Cressman, Registered Social Worker
Karen is a mental health professional who provides psychological services under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Over the past five years Karen has gained intensive counselling training and experience as a Clinical Social Worker, working with individuals, families and groups. This builds on her twenty years of experience in the education system working with children with physical and learning disabilities as well as behavioural problems. In this capacity, Karen also advocated for and supported parents and other famiy members.
In her work as a Social Worker Karen has continued to counsel and support adolescents and families. Karen has assisted clients with issues related to depression, anxiety, stress and trauma; more recently working with women experiencing postpartum depression, parenting and life transition challenges. This unique combination of training and work, as well her own life experiences, has contributed to the mature, empathic, and supportive presence Karen provides for her clients.
Karen received her MSW from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a registered Social Worker.
