Louise Giroux practices the psychotherapeutic model in Adlerian Psychodynamic psychotherapy. It is cognitive and insight-oriented, accessing feeling work where deemed useful. The goal of therapy is to explore personal beliefs, those that guide our day to day behavior. Once, excavated, these beliefs may be edited, thus making 'problems' and 'issues' manageable. Louise is trained in couple counseling and sex therapy, and works with couples or with individuals. She is a firm believer in the power of encouragement and change, those two elements that make therapy work.
