Reverend Mabel Campbell
Mabel is a mental health professional who provides psychological services under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Mabel has a Bachelor of Religious Education, a Master of Divinity with Honours from Trinity College, University of Toronto and is an ordained clergy. She is a Certified Specialist in Pastoral Counselling, as well as a Provisional Teaching Supervisor for *CAPPE/ACPEP. She has studied and is trained in the art of Spiritual Direction.

In the past, Mabel served as Chair of Pastoral Counsellors for the Professional Practice Committee of the *Canadian Association of Pastoral Practise and Education, and as a member of the Domestic Violence Community Coordinating Committee, Flamborough Project. She has over twenty years of clinical work as a therapist/counsellor using an eclectic approach which includes but is not entirely Rogerian, and Family Systems.
At the present time, she is working as a consultant for the Theatre Liberation Community Project in Hamilton. The Group works with children and youth empowering them to tell their stories through drama, music and art. They will give a public demonstration of their work in a developed theatre production. Mabel has a private practice in Burlington and is presently leading Sunday Worship in the Chapel at St. Joseph’s Centre for Mountain Health Services in Hamilton.
Her clients feel free to return when necessary and refer others. They say she is warm and makes them feel at ease when they are with her. She has compassion and empathy and shows unconditional positive regard. Her deep faith and love of God is reflected in her therapeutic approach that is non-judgmental and accepting of the diversity in the culture, beliefs and values of others. From her own experiences and therapeutic study, she is especially sensitive to clients experiencing losses and trauma.
