Marion Irwin
Marion is a mental health professional who provides psychological services under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Marion Irwin has a Master's Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Alberta and an Honors Bachelor of Science Degree from McMaster University. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Employee Assistance Program Association of Toronto (EAPAT).
Her experience over the last 25 years includes positions in management and counselling in a variety of mental health, healthcare and business settings. In addition to individual, couple and family counselling, she also provides critical incident stress debriefings to various groups.
She is trained in a variety of counselling approaches including psychodynamic, interpersonal, solution-focused and cognitive behaviour therapy. She offers individual, couple and relationship counselling and has experience in dealing with a wide range of issues including:
- marital/family issues,
- work-related issues,
- anxiety and stress reduction,
- depression,
- trauma,
- loss/grief,
- eating disorders
- employment/career counselling.
Marion enjoys assisting clients to make desired changes in order to bring wellness and balance to their lives. She sees counselling as a collaborative process in which she and her clients work toward a common goal.
