Michael Greene
Michael is a mental health professional who provides psychological services under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
I have worked in counselling and psychotherapy for over 20 years. Specializing in helping men and women deal with and manage depression, stress, relationships, childhood trauma and grief. I also assists couples by helping them to approach their marriage in new and creative ways that establish positive communications.
My philosophy of therapy is based on a strong belief in the power and creativity within us all. I believes that a counselling environment, which is non-judgmental, supportive and caring, can help liberate this power and creativity, enabling people to confront and overcome their difficulties. This philosophy allows me to focus on my clients' strengths and unique gifts. I believe that by accessing these assets, people can find positive ways to approach and manage challenging issues in their lives.
I received my Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from Vermont College and trained at the Toronto Institute of Human Relations. In addition I have studied depression, childhood trauma, sexual abuse, EMDR, cognitive/behavioral approaches and family relationships as they affect the individual. I am a clinical member of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists, lead workshops, write articles and give talks on a variety of mental health topics.
I am available throughout the
week with flexible hours, morning, noon and evening.
