Scott Burgess
Scott is a mental health professional who provides psychological services under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
Scott R Burgess, MA. received his Masters degree in counselling psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Toronto.
This degree has complemented his post secondary education in Communication and twenty years experience in the sales and marketing fields. Scott is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists.
In his past Scott has served as executive Vice President of and conducted seminars for a leader in gender and cultural diversity training.
Scott enjoys working with individuals of all ages, couples of diverse orientations, and families. <p>Scott is a firm believer of people’s ability to, and capacity for change, through transformative processes facilitated by the interaction between the client and therapist. Scott states, “to move towards one’s potential as a human being, it is fundamental to first identify the destination, and then collaboratively sketch a roadmap. Thus begins the journey, one step at a time”.
As an avid advocate of lifelong learning, Scott is currently enrolled in the Addiction Studies and Careworker program at McMaster University. He lives with his wife and daughter in Oakville: Ont. Scott has offices in Burlington, Oakville, and Mississauga, and has flexible hours available, including evenings and weekends to accommodate his clients.
