Biography

Don practices psychotherapy in the Niagara Region under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Don has obtained his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Psychology, and he is a certified member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists.

Over the past 10 years, Don has gained clinical experiences with a number of populations and in various treatment settings. In addition to working privately with individuals, couples, and families, he facilitates domestic violence groups and has worked at a children’s mental health centre assisting youth with behavioural and emotional concerns. Further, Don leads workshops and groups on wellness, self-esteem, and depression.

Don highlights that difficult situations and feelings present unique personal growth opportunities as life adversities clarify our highest goals and are catalysts for change. Don provides a non-judgmental, respectful, and compassionate environment in which clients can gain greater awareness in the nature of a presenting issue. Various evidence-based therapeutic interventions are utilized to help clients achieve lasting change and personal fulfillment.
