Biography

Bruce is a Registered Psychological Associate who provides services in Guelph, Kitchener, Georgetown, and Fergus.

Bruce worked in school board settings with children experiencing learning and behavioural difficulties, and now brings his expertise to private practice.

When assessing a child or adolescent, he often starts by visiting at the home to discuss the referral problem and to meet the student in the setting where he/she is most comfortable. Assessment later takes place in an office, and includes looking at learning capacity and achievement, attention, memory and social emotional functioning. A diagnosis is made when appropriate. A comprehensive report is prepared and presented to the parents and child (if age appropriate). The results are reviewed so the child/adolescent and parents understand how they learn best and how to provide support and encouragement.
